Description

Unit SLS

FREERIDE / FREESTYLE / WAVE

SLS stands for Strong Light Superior and is your gear that empowers you to push your limits and strive for peak performance without compromise.

The 2027 Unit SLS takes the proven Unit design to the next level, delivering increased power, enhanced stiffness, and a more direct, high-performance feel for demanding riders.

A shorter strut gives the Unit SLS a compact feel with reduced swing weight, improving maneuverability and control through gusts and lulls. The SLS construction, combining lightweight and stiff 135 g PentaTX with an 82 g Aluula Gold center panel, significantly increases stiffness and responsiveness while reducing overall weight. Retaining the same leading-edge diameter as the original Unit in the smaller sizes, the SLS delivers additional grunt with improved low-end power and drive when needed - resulting in a more direct connection and precise handling in all conditions.

Refined profile distribution - with less depth in the center and more towards the quarter span - ensures efficient power delivery and excellent flagging stability. Combined with optimized canopy tension and tip twist, the Unit SLS delivers cleaner aerodynamics, improved draft stability, and a highly responsive feel.

The updated window layout enhances visibility without compromising performance.

Equipped with Fusion boom and handle options, a high-performance MOD3s canopy, and refined detailing throughout, the Unit SLS is built for riders looking to take their riding to the next Level.

Key Features:

Compact Handling

The shorter strut design reduces swing weight and creates a more compact wing feel for enhanced maneuverability and smoother handling.

Direct Response

Optimized canopy tension and tip twist improve draft stability and create precise feedback with a highly responsive feel.

Increased Low-End Power

Retaining the original Unit's leading-edge diameter in the smaller sizes delivers additional grunt and drive, helping riders get going earlier and maintain power through transitions.

Lightweight Precision

The PentaTX frame combined with an Aluula Gold center panel increases stiffness while reducing weight, creating a highly responsive and connected riding experience.

Stable Flagging

The refined profile distribution improves efficiency and keeps the wing balanced and controlled while surfing and riding swell.

Versatile Performance

Built for riders looking to take the next step in freeride, freestyle, and wave riding, the Unit SLS combines increased power, direct handling, and lightweight performance across all disciplines.
